Early morning, head for an elephant safari to one of the zones of Kaziranga National Park. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later, head for a jeep safari.

It is one of the major attractions in the park as it is a perfect way to watch and explore Kaziranga from up close. The elephants take you to those parts of jungle where jeeps can’t go and they can get you the closest to the one-horned Rhinos.
Jeep Safari is one of the most adventurous and must-do activities in Kaziranga National Pak. The 4x4 will take you to the verdant and wild jungles of Kaziranga. If you want to catch the wildlife of Kaziranga National Park at its best then a jeep safari is a must do! Some of the popular animal species that can be spotted in the national park area are Great Indian One Horned Rhino, Pigmy Hog, Royal Bengal Tiger, wild elephants, Swamp Deer, Hispid Hare, Gangetic Dolphin, Wild Buffalo, Golden Langur, Hoolock Gibbon, Stump-tailed Macaque, and Pig-tailed Macaque.
After breakfast, head to Shillong. En-route, visit Umiam Lake. Arrive at Shillong and check-in to your hotel.

An artificial treasure, Umiam Lake is a scenic reservoir crowned with dense coniferous forests and East Khasi Hills. Famous by the name of Badapani, it is formed by damming Umiam River. After an early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee. Visit Nohkalikai Waterfalls and Mawsmai Caves. In the evening, return to Shillong. En route, visit Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak.

Drive around 5kms from Cherrapunjee and find yourself admiring the world’s fourth highest waterfall, Nokalikai Falls. Descending from a height of about 1100 feet, the gushing waterfall is a breath-taking sight. It is listed among the must-visit places in Cherrapunjee for its alluring views of Bangladesh plains and the ever-beautiful waterfall.
Mawsmai is undoubtedly the top destinations in Cherrpunjee. This natural wonder will make you wonder about the surprises that nature has for you. The Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya has one of the longest natural cave systems in India. The 150m long cave is an excellent way to spend half a day with a little bit of adventure.
The three-step waterfall located near the Shillong Peak is one of the most beautiful spots to admire the gushing waterfalls so close. Climb down a few steps and behold the sight of one the most gorgeous waterfalls in Shillong. This scenic three-tier cascading beauty is also called ‘Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew’ by the local people, which means ‘three-step waterfalls’. If you are around Shillong, a trip to Elephants Falls is a must.
Shillong Peak, as the name suggests, is the highest peak in Shillong that offers breath-taking views of the city, the lush hills, and the Bangladesh Plains. Mostly bound by fog, Shillong Peak is surely one of the best tourist spots in the city. Climb up and take a look from the telescope, especially available for tourist and be mesmerized by the views.
After breakfast, visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydari Park. Later, drive to Guwahati. En-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong Peak. Arrive at Guwahati and check-in to the hotel. In the evening visit Kalakshetra.

Srimanta Sankaradeva or Kalakshetra is a popular cultural institution named after a famous play r and poet of the medieval period called Sirmanta Sankaradev. Apart from the intriguing library, this museum displays different types of items and artifacts which are used by the diversified ethnic groups of Assam. Diverse cultural objects of the state are also displayed in the museum. The open-theatre and the scenic views attract a number of tourists and it is one of the must-visit places in around Guwahati.
Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Culture is an amazing initiative taken to conserve North East India’s native culture and heritage. The museum has a collection of interesting information about the entire seven sisters of North- East India along with the exhibits like exclusive art galleries, handicrafts, ornamentation, photographs, and weapons used by tribes of Northeast. Don Bosco Museum is located along the Sacred Heart Church and is one of the must-visit places in Shillong.
Lady Hydari Park is the best place to start your morning in Shillong. It was dedicated to the first lady of the province, Lady Hydari. The park comprises of a sprawling and manicured garden including beautiful rose beds and children’s play area. There is a mini zoo inside the park housing more than 73 species of birds and 100 species of reptiles.
Nestled at the center of the city, Ward’s Lake is a must-visit spot in Shillong. After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
Kamakhya Temple is a popular pilgrimage site in India representing the female power of Shakti and celebrating a woman’s ability to conceive. According to Hindu myth, when the troubled Shiva scattered the pieces of this deceased wife Sati’s body across the realm, one of the pieces, Sati’s womb, fell on Nilachal Hill which is around 8km from Guwahati. The Kamakhya Temple was built to honor the deity Kamakhya. It is one the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas in India and one of the most visited tourist places in India. If you are in Guwahati then a visit to the Kamakhya Temple is worth it.
